Frequently asked questions

What we do:

What to expect in therapy?

We currently have 6 clinicians that all have various specialties in talk therapy. With two AASECT Certified Sex Therapists, we guide our practice in addressing shame that keeps us from living our most authentic and pleasure filled lives.

Sex therapy:

The focus of this work is exploring our sexual values, enhancing sexual agency, increased sexual education, and working through a systems model. Our staff is extensively trained and we work to walk with you through your healing journey with you as the expert of your own life, world, and sexuality.

To be clear, sex therapy is a type of talk therapy. This will include conversations and discussion, sexual education, homework to address issues and unconditional positive regard.

Do NOT expect anything sexual in nature will happen in the therapy office or with the therapist.

Couples or Relationship Therapy:

Relationships are hard! This work is focused on building communication, connection, understanding and intimacy. There are many factors that may impact relationships such as trauma, betrayal, and even every day stressors. Allow us to assist in finding how to cultivate compassion, connection, desire, pleasure, and play.

Individual Therapy:

Each of our therapists are trauma informed and client centered. This means we strive to make sure you have the right fit and approach to your personal goals. Addressing stressors, emotional regulation, trauma, and healing.
